The Fraser Coast Regional Council delivers a range of events throughout the year to celebrate our region’s wonderful lifestye and diversity.

Regional events play an important role in the cultural, social and economic development of a region. A lively regional events programme for the Fraser
Coast provides an opportunity for bringing communities together, celebrating
our region’s diversity, fostering a shared sense of place for the region and encourages wider economic benefits.

Events Strategy

Fraser Coast Regional Council’s objectives in support of regional events include:

1.  Develop a diverse, vibrant and sustainable programme of events
2.  Encourage regional pride and identity through events
3.  Increase regional economic activity and development
4.  Enhance visitor experience to the Fraser Coast region
5.  Enhance the positive profile and appeal of the Fraser Coast region
6.  Build the event organising capability of the regional community
7.  Ensure Council events funding is allocated effectively in order to encourage future growth and
sustainability of regional events.
